What we're about.
Parkview Baptist Church is a local independent Baptist church with a vision for our community, yet with a heart that longs to reach the world. Jesus Christ commanded us in the Gospels to "go into all the world and preach the gospel." We strive to fulfill this commission in a number of ways. Through local evangelism in our community, through sending missionaries to foreign fields, and by also taking trips to foreign fields to help our missionaries. We strive to be a church that upholds the Bible and what it says. We know that visiting any church for the very first time can be an awkward experience. What door do I go into? What time does it start? What is there for my kids? These and many more questions always surface. When you visit Parkview Baptist Church, you will find a friendly welcome from down-to-earth Christians who have a love for the Lord and their church family. There will always be someone to assist you with any questions or concerns. Our desire is that you will experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and powerful preaching from the Word of God. We want our church to be a place where you can feel welcome. Here are some answers to possible questions you might have, and what you might expect on your first visit.
What is the Sunday morning schedule?
9:45 AM – Sunday School
This is a practical teaching time, where we break into smaller, age appropriate classes, and learn about the Bible. We have classes for all ages, from birth and on up. Our teachers prepare weekly lessons centering on God’s Word. Children have their own classes, complete with activities and teaching aimed at their grade level. Everyone is always welcome.
10:30 AM – Worship Service
The worship service starts with inspiring singing encompassing congregational, choir, and special music. This is followed by the preaching of God's word. Most services end around 11:45 am to 12:00 pm.
What about my children?
As stated earlier, Parkview has Sunday school classes for specific age/grades. Following the Sunday School time, we provide a “Junior” Church for children up to grade six. Fun is to be had at junior church, with puppets, skits, fun songs, exciting stories, crafts, and much, much more. Your children will have a great time with our workers, letting you enjoy the worship time in the main auditorium.
Also, Parkview provides a nursery for infants and children up to age three. Our nursery is a safe, clean environment that is well staffed. The ladies of the Parkview nursery love children, and take special care with each child entrusted to their watch.
Should I bring my Bible?
We encourage everyone to bring their Bibles and follow along with the Pastor’s message. If you do not have a Bible, we will provide one on request.
Can I listen to services online?

Do you have more than one service?
We have a morning and evening service on Sundays. Our evening service starts at 6:00 PM on Sunday nights. Our Wednesday night services start at 7:00 PM.
Is there a dress code?
The truth of the matter is, there is no strict dress code for our public services! We want you to be come and be ready to concentrate on the message of God's Word. Many in attendance will be wearing their "Sunday best" - the men in dress shirts and dress slacks, typically with a tie, and the women in dresses.

What we believe.
Statement of Faith
1.) Doctrine of CreationWe believe in six , twenty-four hour days, God created man, animal, the earth, the heavens, and all natural things on the earth. On the seventh day of the week God rested, signifying to us the importance of setting aside a day for the Lord. (Genesis 1-2, Psalm 19:1-2)
2.) Doctrine of GodWe believe in the God that spoke to Moses and said, "I AM". An ever existing, all knowing, all powerful, ever present, the same God that delivered the Hebrews from bondage, and sent His Son to die on the cross for my sins. An ever loving, ever just, God. (Genesis 3:14, Genesis 1:1, Genesis 35:11)
3.) Doctrine of ChristThe Second Person of the Trinity, the Son of God, the Saviour, the Risen Lord, these all describe the person of Jesus Christ. Sent to this earth, born of a virgin, lived His life doing His Father's will, died on a cruel cross, yet raised again in three days, the soon coming King, seated at the right hand of the Father, ever making intercession on behalf of His saints. This is the Christ in which I believe. (Matthew 1:25, Genesis 22, Isaiah 7:14)
4.) Doctrine of Holy SpiritThe Third Person of the Trinity, the fulfillment of the promise of Christ when He said, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter." The ministry of the Holy Spirit on this earth is one of comfort and conviction. Moving upon the hearts of sinners and showing them the way to Christ. Comforting the hearts of the saints of God, bringing them peace and opening there eyes to the Word of God. (John 14:16, 26, John 16:7-13, I Corinthians 2:10)
5.) Doctrine of TrinityWe believe in the Triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three individuals, yet one God. (I John 5:7, Matthew 28:19, John 15:26)
6.) Doctrine of SatanWe believe in a literal angelic being, created by God as Lucifer, an archangel that supposed to exalt himself above the most high God. He was then cast out of heaven, and given dominion on the earth. He seeks the destruction of the souls of man, and the hindrance of the Church. He is very powerful, but still must submit to the all powerful God of heaven. (Isaiah 14:12-15, Revelation 12:7, II Corinthians 11:14-15, Genesis 3:4-5, Revelation 20:10)
7.) Doctrine of SinSin is the very thing that separates God and man. In Romans 5:12 the Bible says that by one man sin entered into the world. This speaks of the sin of Adam in the garden of Eden. Because of this sin death passes upon all men, for that all have sinned. The sentence of sin could only be relieved by the sacrifice of the Son of God. Through the shedding of His blood there is remission of sins. (Genesis 2:16-17, 3:6, Romans 5:12)
8.) Doctrine of ManWe believe that God created man in His image and likeness on the sixth day of creation. Man was created with a free will, but in complete innocence until he sinned in the garden. As a result sin came into this world and death by sin. Since that day all men have been born with a sin nature and are under condemnation until they accept Jesus as their personal Saviour. (Genesis 1:26 -28, Psalms 51:5, Romans 5:12, Genesis 2:7)
9.) Doctrine of the ChurchWe believe in the local, independent, New Testament church, founded upon Christ and the Word of God. I believe that it is made up of its members who have been saved and baptized biblically by immersion. I believe that such a person is then to be loyal to their local assembly, their pastor that God has placed as their undershepherd, and to the other members. The local church is to be autonomous, mission minded, soul seeking, and dedicated to the furtherance of the Kingdom of Christ. (Matthew 16:18, Acts 2:40-42, Ephesians 5:21-23, Hebrews 10:25)
10.) Doctrine of the ScripturesWe believe that the scriptures of both the Old & New Testaments are the complete, revealed, and inspired Word of God that He has chosen to give us. I believe that the perfect Word of God for the English speaking people is the Authorized King James 1611 Bible. The Word of God is to be our final authority on all matters, and God seeks to illuminate our hearts with His words. (II Timothy 3:15-17, Psalms 12:6-7, II Peter 1:19-21, Proverbs 30:5, Matthew 4:4, Acts 6:2, John 1:1, Ephesians 6:17, Psalm119:89, Psalm 105:5, Psalm 119:160, Matthew 24:35)
11.) Doctrine of SalvationWe believe that long before man was created; there was the will of God to provide salvation for mankind. This salvation was through the sacrifice of the precious Lamb of God, His only Son. Christ came to this earth, born of a virgin, suffered much torture, died on a cross, yet rose again three days later, victorious over sin, death, the grave, and hell. Salvation can only be gained by grace, through faith in Christ as my personal Saviour and the repentance of sins. It is only through the blood of Christ that we can have this so great a Salvation, the precious gift of eternal life and a home in heaven. (Isaiah 1:18, 9:6-7, John 3:14-18, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 7:22-25)
12.) Doctrine of the Priesthood of the BelieverWe believe that in the age of grace, God has given us the ability through His Son & His Blood, to come boldly before the throne of Grace. We are a priest unto ourselves, given direct access to God. Not needing any other man to communicate for us. We can plead the Blood of Christ and come before a Holy God with our praise and our petitions. Every believer is given this privilege by His Saviour. (I Peter 2:5-10, I Thessalonians 4:7)
13.) Doctrine of HeavenWe believe in a very literal place called Heaven. This is the place where the throne of God is presently located, the place where the saints of God go upon their death, and a place of great wonder and beauty. It is here that Jesus has promised to prepare a place for all the children of God. (John 14:1-3, Acts 7:49, Matthew 23:22, Mark 11:26)
14.) Doctrine of HellJust as we believe in a very literal place called Heaven, we believe in a very literal place called hell. This is a place of much torment where those that are lost go upon their death. Hell is an everlasting place that will one day be cast into the lake of fire with everyone in it. (Luke 16:23-25, Habakkuk 2:5, Revelation 20:13- 14)
15.) Doctrine of the Security of the BelieverWe believe that the person who puts their faith in Christ for their salvation, can also trust Him to keep them with no fear of losing what Christ paid so dearly to give. We are secure in our salvation through Christ. (I John 2:25, 5:13, John 6:37-40, 10:27-30, 17:11-12, Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30, Jude 24)
16.) Doctrine of RepentanceWe believe that repentance is of utmost importance to our salvation. We must repent of our sins and believe that Christ can take them away. Without true repentance there can be no saving work in our lives. (Luke 24:47, Acts 20:21, Romans 2:4, II Peter 3:9, Acts 3:19)
17.) Doctrine of AtonementThrough the Blood of Christ, atonement was made for our sins. This was the only satisfaction for the sins of the world. Christ died and shed His blood that we might be atoned for. Through His sacrifice, God is satisfied. (Romans 5:8-19, I John 1:7, Revelation 1:5)
18.) Doctrine of MissionsWe believe in the New Testament teachings of spreading the Gospel to the whole world. God clearly tells us to go throughout the whole world with the good news of salvation through Christ. We also find in the New Testament, the act of separating believers to go and be the messenger for the local church. I believe the support of missions should be on the forefront of every Bible believing New Testament church. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8, 13:2-5)
19.) Doctrine of EschatologyWe believe in the impending, pre-millenial, pre-tribulation, coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I believe in a very literal rapture of the church by Christ at any moment. Only God knows when we will be called away. After this calling away the earth will enter into a 7 year tribulation period that will end with the Battle of Armageddon, and the triumphant establishment of the Kingdom of Christ for a 1,000 years. Satan will be cast into the lake of fire. Christ will then judge the lost at the Great White Throne judgment, and death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire, and the ones whose names were written in the Lamb's book of life will spend eternity with God. (Acts 1:11, Luke 1:31-32, 21:27, Revelation 1:1- 2, Matthew 24:37-44, Mark 13:26, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, I Corinthians 15:51- 52, II Corinthians 5:10, II Thessalonians 2:7-12, Revelations 19:19-21, 20:11-13, 20:15)
20.) Doctrine of EternityThrough the salvation afforded us by Jesus Christ, we have eternal life. We will spend eternity praising God for all that He has done for us. This will be a period of time in which there is no time, for it will last forever. (Matthew 25:46, John 3:15, John 6:68, John 10:28, John 17:3, Romans 5:21, Romans 6:23, John 5:11, Jude 1:21)
21.) Ordinance of BaptismWe believe that the ordinance of Baptism is what sets us apart as Baptist, and is important to adhere to as it is Biblical. Baptism by immersion is shown in the scriptures, which are our final authority, and is a picture of what Christ did for us. It is the first step of obedience in a new believer's life, and upon baptism can then be joined to a local church and enjoy the nurture of that assembly. (Matthew 3:16, 28:19, Acts 2:41, 8:36-39, Galatians 3:27)
22.) Ordinance of the Lord's SupperChrist instituted the Lord's Supper for believers to partake in as a remembrance of what He did for us. We partake in the broken unleavened bread in remembrance of His body, broken for us. We partake in the unfermented grape juice in remembrance of His blood, shed for us. These are to be done soberly, in all gravity, and taking time to talk to God, insuring that we are clean before him. God looks upon a believer partaking of this table mockingly or lightly in a very severe manner. (Matthew 26:26-30, Mark 14:22-26, Luke 22:19-20, I Corinthians 11:23-32)
